Rhode Island S2208 amends the composition of the urban collaborative in Providence and provides that it is governed by a board of trustees. The urban collaborative, which includes the cities of Providence, Pawtucket, East Providence, and Central Falls, will be eligible to receive various aids, grants, and revenue as though it were a school district. The Providence public schools must maintain their funding to the urban collaborative at the fiscal year 2025 level, adjusted for state aid increases.
