Rhode Island S2200 requires the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) to publicly notify any changes in energy eligibility or production. The bill directs the PUC to create rules and regulations to facilitate prompt public disclosure of this information. The PUC is also tasked with reviewing and approving renewable-generation proposals, adjusting minimum renewable energy amounts annually, and authorizing electric and gas distribution companies to propose and implement smart-metering and smart-grid entities.
