Rhode Island S2171 changes the Office of Personnel Administration (OPA) desk audit classification rules by eliminating the supervision of other employees as a requirement for position upgrades. This means that employees will no longer need to supervise others to qualify for a higher job classification through the desk audit process. The amendment takes effect immediately upon passage.
