Expands the jurisdiction of the Warwick municipal court to include zoning, housing, and building code violations.

This bill expands the jurisdiction of the Warwick municipal court to include violations of zoning ordinances, minimum housing standards, housing maintenance and occupancy codes, and state building codes. The municipal court can impose fines, order vehicle destruction, and compel compliance with regulations. Defendants found guilty of certain violations can appeal to the superior court for a trial de novo. The mayor appoints a municipal court judge with city council consent. The act takes effect upon passage.
