Expands the definition of peace officers to include juvenile program workers and shift coordinators at the department of youth, children and families.

This bill amends the definition of peace officers to include juvenile program workers and shift coordinators at the department of youth, children and families. These individuals will be considered peace officers while performing their duties, allowing them to carry firearms and be subject to in-service training requirements. The change takes effect upon passage of the act.
