Rhode Island S2122 amends the real estate sales disclosure form to include blower door diagnostic air leakage testing and advises that such testing is recommended prior to purchasing a residential unit. The bill also recommends home energy audits to assess the energy efficiency of the property. The seller must provide the buyer with information about the availability of energy audits and the potential risks associated with cesspools. The bill takes effect upon passage.
