The bill authorizes the city of Cranston to issue up to $4,000,000 in general obligation bonds and notes for the repair, construction, and rehabilitation of storm drains and drainage improvements, as well as for the remediation and mitigation of drainage and flooding problems. The proceeds from the bonds and notes, along with any applicable federal or state assistance, will be used for these purposes. The city council can authorize the issuance of temporary notes in anticipation of bonds, which can be refunded before maturity.
