Repeals the system for responsible recycling, reuse and disposal of mattresses.

This bill repeals Chapter 23-90 of the General Laws, which established a system for the responsible recycling, reuse, and disposal of mattresses in Rhode Island. The repealed chapter included provisions for a mattress stewardship program, managed by a council created by mattress producers, to oversee the collection, recycling, and reuse of discarded mattresses. The program involved a mattress stewardship fee added to the purchase price of mattresses, which was to be remitted to the council.
