Expands the deinstitutionalization subsidy aid program to include adoptive parents or siblings.

This bill expands the deinstitutionalization subsidy aid program in the department of behavioral healthcare, developmental disabilities, and hospitals to include adoptive parents or siblings. It allows adoptive parents or siblings to care for a child or adult if the natural parent is unable to do so. The program provides financial assistance to qualified parents or relatives who take in individuals from state institutions. The bill also directs the department to develop options for alternatives to institutional care.
