Rhode Island H8471 allows Coventry to mandate two parking spaces per low- or moderate-income housing unit if limited public transportation or parking.

Rhode Island H8471 amends the General Laws to permit the town of Coventry to require two parking spaces for each studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom low- or moderate-income housing unit. This requirement applies if the municipality determines that there is limited or no local public transportation or off-street parking availability near these units. The act takes effect upon passage.
