Rhode Island H8468 allows Coventry to count manufactured homes in age-restricted communities as half an affordable housing unit.

Rhode Island H8468 amends the Rhode Island Housing Resources Act of 1998 to allow the town of Coventry to receive a one-half credit for affordable housing units for manufactured homes in age-restricted communities. These manufactured homes must be located in communities where residents must be at least fifty-five years old and comply with Coventry's zoning laws and ordinances. This change aims to address the housing needs of older citizens and other populations in Coventry. The bill takes effect upon passage.
