Rhode Island H8464 mandates contractors performing construction or maintenance on state roads to have an operational camera on a crash truck.

Rhode Island H8464 amends the "Construction and Maintenance of State Roads" to require contractors working for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation, Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority, or any other road or bridge work to have a crash truck equipped with operational cameras. The cameras must face oncoming traffic on divided highways and both directions on undivided roads. Contractors must submit video footage to the Rhode Island State Police and the Attorney General for accident investigations.
