Rhode Island H8462 establishes an interagency transition council within the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to ensure the preparedness of students with disabilities for life after school. Transition planning will begin by age fourteen or younger if deemed appropriate in the individualized education program, for each eligible young person with a disability.
