Rhode Island H8452 prohibits defendants serving probation for DUI resulting in death from earning good time off their probationary period.

Rhode Island H8452 amends the General Laws to prohibit defendants serving probation for driving under the influence resulting in death from earning good time off their probationary period. This act takes effect upon passage and applies to all individuals sentenced to probation, including those sentenced prior to enactment of the statute. The award of probation compliance credits is prospective only from the date of enactment of the statute.
