Rhode Island H8364 amends the Hospital Conversions Act to allow the Superior Court to place a hospital into receivership under certain conditions. This action can be taken by the attorney general or the department of health if the hospital is mismanaged, financially distressed, acting illegally, or endangering patient health and safety. The court can appoint a receiver to manage the hospital's assets and business, sell or dispose of assets, and ensure patient safety and access to health care services.
