Rhode Island H8078 permits grand juries to issue reports and sets up a process for review and acceptance by the superior court. The presiding justice must examine the report and notify individuals or entities named in it, giving them 30 days to respond. If the report contains privileged or confidential information, the presiding justice can order redactions or seal the report. The report becomes public unless it prejudices a pending criminal matter.
