Rhode Island H8070 amends the state's weapons laws to permit students, professors, and employees of public and private colleges and universities to carry, possess, and have in their custody, possession, and control stun guns or pepper spray for self-defense purposes. This act modifies the existing prohibition on carrying certain weapons by making an exception for these individuals. The act takes effect upon passage.
