Provides immunity for family court mediators and staff from financial liability for certain claims arising from their participation in the program.

Rhode Island H8050 amends the General Laws to grant immunity to mediators and staff employed by the family court in the family court mediation program from financial liability for certain claims. This protection extends to claims arising from acts or omissions committed in the discharge of their duties, provided these acts are not wanton, malicious, or grossly negligent. The immunity covers financial loss, expense, and legal fees and costs. This act takes effect upon passage.
