Rhode Island H8034 authorizes the town of Johnston to enact an emergency moratorium on housing projects if 250 or more units are proposed. This moratorium can be enacted until the permit requirements of § 45-53-4 are amended. The moratorium halts the acceptance or processing of further applications. The act takes effect upon passage.
