Rhode Island H8028 exempts from property taxes the lake bed and Wilson’s Reservoir in the town of Burrillville. The bill amends the General Laws to allow the town of Burrillville to enact ordinances exempting certain property from taxation. This includes the lake bed and Wilson’s Reservoir, as well as property on which any dam, spillway, and appurtenant structures may be located. The collection of Dam Management District fees in Burrillville will follow the same procedures as tax collection by municipalities. This act takes effect upon passage.
