Rhode Island H7973 amends the definition of "employee" in the "Work on Holidays and Sundays" chapter to exclude individuals employed in catering, commissary, or food establishments from the requirement to pay wages at one and one-half times the normal rate for work on holidays and Sundays. This change takes effect on January 1, 2027.
