Rhode Island amends the membership of the Permanent Legislative Commission on Child Care to include twenty-seven members. The Commission aims to develop and recommend policies and legislation for high quality, affordable, accessible, and equitable child care and early learning services. Membership is reviewed every three years, with consideration given to increasing diversity. The Commission hosts an annual Child Care and Early Education Awareness Day and a joint House and Senate planning retreat every two or three years.
