Establishes federal backstop language for energy and water conservation standards issued by the U.S. Secretary of Energy as of January 19, 2025.

This bill establishes federal backstop language for any provisions of federal law relating to energy or water conservation standards issued or approved for publication by the U.S. Secretary of Energy as of January 19, 2025. In the event that these standards are withdrawn, repealed, or otherwise voided, the minimum energy or water efficiency level permitted for products previously subject to federal standards in Rhode Island shall be the applicable federal standards as of that date.
