Allows retired state employees to be reemployed by a municipality without restrictions and without loss of retirement benefits.

This bill amends the retirement system to allow retired state employees to be reemployed by a municipality without any restrictions and without losing their existing retirement benefits. The bill specifies that no additional service credits will be granted for any post-retirement employment or reemployment, and no deductions will be taken from an individual’s salary for retirement contributions. Notice of such employment or reemployment must be sent monthly to the retirement board by the employer and the retired member. The changes take effect upon passage of the act.
