Rhode Island H7795 allows Medicaid reimbursement for services by graduate student interns in mental health fields.

Rhode Island H7795 amends Chapter 40-8 of the General Laws to include Medicaid reimbursement for services provided by graduate student interns in mental health fields. These interns must be formally assigned by an accredited college or university and work under a supervisory protocol. The supervising organization can retain a portion of the compensation to cover expenses related to supervisory work. This act takes effect upon passage.
