This bill expands the jurisdiction of the Warwick municipal court to include violations of zoning ordinances, minimum housing standards, housing maintenance and occupancy codes, and state building codes. The court can now hear and determine causes involving these violations, impose fines, and order repairs or demolitions. The mayor can appoint a judge with city council consent. The act takes effect upon passage.
