Rhode Island H7768 amends the Fair Employment Practices law to prohibit employers, employment agencies, labor organizations, and employees from engaging in unlawful employment practices. These include refusing to hire, discharging, or discriminating against individuals based on race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, age, or country of ancestral origin. The bill also prohibits inquiries about these characteristics on employment applications, except for law enforcement positions or when required by law.
