Rhode Island H7756 amends the Uniform Controlled Substances Act to permit the cultivation of psilocybin within a person's residence for personal use. It also mandates that the Rhode Island Department of Health establish rules and regulations for the cultivation, distribution, and medical prescription of psilocybin if the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reschedules the substance and expands its access program. The act takes effect on July 1, 2026, and will sunset on July 1, 2028.
