Rhode Island H7744 amends the law on drug coverage to require insurance plans that provide coverage for prescription drugs to offer two options for prescription delivery. This applies to group health insurers, nonprofit hospital service corporations, nonprofit medical service corporations, and health maintenance organizations. Insurers are prohibited from requiring individuals to obtain prescription drugs from a mail order pharmacy as a condition of obtaining benefits. This act takes effect upon passage.
