Rhode Island H7649 amends the Uniform Act on Prevention of and Remedies for Human Trafficking to require that all fines collected from employers who fail to display public-awareness signs be deposited into the violent crimes indemnity account within the general fund. This account is established to pay awards granted under the criminal injuries compensation act. The act takes effect upon passage.
