Rhode Island H7540 requires that routine childhood and adult immunization vaccine recommendations be developed from evidence-based, medically sound scientific research by the department of health, the Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and other similar medical professional organizations. The bill also mandates the creation of an advisory committee to review these recommendations, assess vaccine cost and feasibility, and advise the director of health and the office of the health insurance commissioner.
