Rhode Island H7518 mandates that all kratom products for sale be stored in a locked case until sold.

Rhode Island H7518 amends the Rhode Island Kratom Act to require that all kratom products for sale be stored in a locked case, accessible only when a sale is made. The bill also prohibits the sale or distribution of kratom products to individuals under the age of twenty-one and mandates that valid photo identification be required for all purchases to verify age. Acceptable forms of identification include a valid motor vehicle operator’s license, driver privilege card, Rhode Island identification card, armed services identification card, or passport. This act takes effect April 1, 2026.
