Rhode Island H7441 would increase the hourly minimum wage based on the Consumer Price Index for the Northeast Region for the previous four fiscal.

Rhode Island H7441 would adjust the hourly minimum wage starting January 1, 2028, by increasing it according to the total percentage increase in the Consumer Price Index for all Urban Consumers (CPI-U) for the Northeast Region over the previous four fiscal years. The increase cannot exceed twelve percent (12%). This act would take effect immediately upon passage.
