Rhode Island H7321 removes the cap on post-retirement employment for teaching administrators or staff members who have retired under the provisions of titles 16, 36, or 35 of the general laws. This bill allows retired teachers, administrators, and staff members to serve as municipal employees without any forfeiture or reduction of their retirement benefits. The bill also permits retired members to be employed or reemployed by state agencies or departments, state colleges, universities, or state schools, and municipalities within the state. The bill takes effect upon passage.
