Establishes a permanent joint committee to oversee the Department of Children, Youth and Families.

This bill creates a permanent joint committee to oversee the Department of Children, Youth and Families. The committee will consist of eleven members, six from the House and five from the Senate. It will consult with federal and state agencies, propose legislation, and make recommendations. The committee can contract for technical services if needed and will receive referrals of relevant bills and resolutions. Meetings can be held in the State House or elsewhere as necessary.
