Rhode Island H7235 removes nuclear plant projects from needing approval from the general assembly.

Rhode Island H7235 amends the General Laws to remove the requirement for nuclear plant projects to seek approval from the general assembly. Previously, the final approval or denial of a project plan for the location and construction of a nuclear plant within the state was reserved for the general assembly. This bill changes that, removing nuclear plant projects from needing approval from the general assembly. The act takes effect upon passage.
