Rhode Island H7178 creates a taskforce to provide recommendations and technical assistance for the development of solar energy systems on state-owned properties, including parking areas, rooftops, and interstate rights of way. The taskforce will consist of nine members, including representatives from state agencies and the public. It will submit an annual report to the governor, the speaker of the house, and the president of the senate, including a cost-benefit analysis of solar energy system implementation. The taskforce will sunset on September 8, 2029.
