Rhode Island public transit authority to collaborate with Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority on dual commuter rail passes.
This bill enables the Rhode Island public transit authority (RIPTA) to consult with the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) on the feasibility of allowing commuter rail passes to be used as dual passes for both RIPTA and MBTA. The consultation shall also include proposed methods to apportion and share the costs of the passes between the two authorities. This act would take effect upon passage.
