Rhode Island H7136 allows school committees to add items to their agendas for discussion only, not for voting.

Rhode Island H7136 amends the Open Meetings law to allow school committees to add items to their agendas for discussion purposes only, not for voting. These items must be added in response to a written request from a member of the public during the public comment session. The bill specifies that these additional items cannot be voted on unless they have been posted in accordance with the provisions of the law. The act takes effect upon passage.
