Rhode Island H7124 allows Tiverton to enact a moratorium on housing projects if 500 or more units are proposed.

Rhode Island H7124 amends the General Laws to allow the town of Tiverton to enact a short-term emergency moratorium on housing projects if 500 or more units are proposed. This moratorium can continue until the permit requirements in § 45-53-4 are amended. Applications submitted during the moratorium will not be grandfathered. The act takes effect upon passage.
