Rhode Island H7118 mandates the state board of pharmacy to annually identify up to fifteen prescription drugs with significant cost increases, defined as a 50% or more increase in wholesale acquisition cost over the past five years or a 15% or more increase over the past twelve months. The board must provide this list to the attorney general, who will then require the drug manufacturers to submit relevant information and documentation to justify these cost increases. The attorney general will also post a report on the office of the attorney general's website.
