Raises the gross weight limit for vehicles eligible for reserve forces plates in Rhode Island.

This bill amends the gross weight limit for vehicles eligible for reserve forces plates in Rhode Island from 8,500 lbs. to 12,000 lbs. Active and retired members of the United States Reserve Forces can apply for these plates, which feature the US flag and titles of the military branches. Proof of honorable discharge is required for issuance. The plates can be transferred to the holder's surviving spouse after the holder's death. The bill also outlines renewal periods for these plates and takes effect upon passage.
