Rhode Island H7035 prohibits individuals from purchasing more than one firearm in a 30-day period.

Rhode Island H7035 aims to limit firearm purchases by prohibiting individuals from buying more than one firearm within any 30-day period. Exceptions include federally licensed firearm dealers, governmental entities, law enforcement officers, licensed private security companies, court-ordered transfers, and certain transfers related to inheritance or curio or relic collections. Violators face misdemeanor charges for a first offense and felony charges for subsequent offenses. This act takes effect upon passage.
