Rhode Island H7026 amends the Nathan Bruno and Jason Flatt Act by requiring all middle and high schools to include contact crisis telephone numbers for suicide prevention and substance use disorder prevention on student identification cards. These numbers must be added by September 8, 2026. The information can be printed directly on the ID cards or affixed as a sticker. The act also mandates that the same crisis hotline numbers be included on identification cards issued to school and district employees. This act takes effect upon passage.
