Rhode Island H8614 amends the state's General Laws to allow disabled veteran license plates to be transferred to a veteran's spouse if the veteran is no longer able to operate a vehicle. The plates may also be transferred to the veteran's surviving spouse upon the veteran's death. The act permits only one set of "Disabled Veteran" plates to be issued to an eligible veteran or their spouse. This act takes effect upon passage.
