Excludes portable solar generation devices from the definition of eligible net-metering systems.
This bill amends the definition of "eligible net-metering system" to exclude portable solar generation devices. These devices are moveable photovoltaic generation devices intended primarily to offset part of a customer's electricity consumption. The bill exempts these devices from interconnection standards and utility technical requirements, and from the requirement for submission of a complete interconnection application to the electric distribution company. The bill takes effect upon passage.
