Business & economy
“So, in terms of my platform, you know, the main focus really is on affordability, in terms of addressing lack of access to affordable healthcare, childcare and housing, addressing our high property taxes and making sure our schools are funded.”
Immigration
“I'm going to push back against the policies that Trump is pushing. I'm going to push back against the horrible policies that we're seeing to give ICE more power. But I'm going to pull every lever as governor to protect our neighbors.”
Energy & utilities
Cindy has called for a pause on new giant corporate data centers — which raise our energy costs and put our farmland and water supplies at risk — until we can set up guardrails to protect our environment, our jobs, and our budgets. Big corporations don't deserve taxpayer handouts; they should pay their fair share.
Labor & employment
Jobs should pay enough to live on. Cindy will fight to increase the minimum wage to $16 statewide, and higher in high-cost cities and counties.
Health care
Cindy has fought for years to expand Medicaid. As governor she'll make it happen, and bring down healthcare costs for 152,000 Kansans while protecting our rural hospitals.
Education (K-12)
Cindy’s committed to fully funding our schools and meeting our special education funding commitments, to make sure all Kansas kids get the opportunities they deserve. And she aims to make school lunch free for every student, to make sure our kids can show up to learn without worrying about their next meal.
Taxes & revenue
Cindy aims to lower residential property tax assessment rates, providing significant tax relief for homeowners across all income levels. She’ll add exemptions to our tax system, too, to make sure that the property tax burden doesn’t push seniors and disabled veterans out of their homes.
