Energy & Utilities
On day one, Stacy Garrity will lift the ban on new drilling sites that is holding Pennsylvania back and call a Special Session on Energy to fast-track permits for natural gas production, pipelines, and power plants; eliminate duplicative and outdated regulations; set firm timelines for approvals; roll back costly mandates; and reform or pause renewable energy and efficiency mandates.
Taxes & Revenue
HOPE for PA will reduce the property tax burden by one-third within the first two years and rein in the growth of government that drives up local property taxes. The plan also supports first-time homebuyers through a new program in which the Commonwealth covers up to 3% of mortgage interest rates.

Tech companies are racing to build data centers that draw as much power as a small city, and they want you to pay for the wiring. When one comes to town, the utility has to build new power plants, transmission lines, and substations, and unless your state says otherwise, that bill gets spread across every household’s rates while the company that caused it negotiates a special deal. Some of these facilities also pull millions of gallons of water a day from the same reservoirs and aquifers that families and farms depend on. The richest companies in the world don’t need a subsidy from your electric bill. Make data centers pay the full cost of the grid and water they use, through the public utility commission and in law, so the companies building them cover the bill instead of families.
Guarantee Pennsylvania workers paid time off to care for a newborn, a sick family member, or themselves. Pennsylvania remains one of the only large states without paid leave, and waiting another decade is not acceptable.
