The team went undefeated in the Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament, defeating Delaware 5-4 to become champions. They then competed in the World Series, defeating various representatives and ultimately shutting out the Central representative 1-0 to win the championship. This victory makes the team the second World Series Champion from Pennsylvania and the first since 1978.
