Pennsylvania SB932 amends the Second Class Township Code to clarify procedures for filling vacancies on the board of supervisors.

Pennsylvania SB932 amends the Second Class Township Code to provide more specific procedures for filling vacancies on the board of supervisors. If the board fails to fill a vacancy within fifteen days, the chairperson of the vacancy board or the remaining members must petition the court of common pleas to fill the vacancy. The bill also specifies that a resignation on the board of supervisors creates a vacancy on the date specified in the resignation or the second business day after the resignation is tendered, unless withdrawn in writing.
